Astrology Overview

April is the 4th month of a #11 year, thus making this April 2009
An 6 month of love, duty and service for us all. We begin April and Spring of 2009 with the sun in Passionate and Intense ARIES. Where it moved on March 20th at the Spring Equinox.
Venus the planet of love and how we go about getting what we want is retrograde since March 6th in the same Fiery Sign of Aries. Aries energy is much into the “I AM” mode rather than the “I Believe mode” from last month. So this Venus retrograde is one which by now you may have figured out is energetically energized with Lets Fight about it energy. AND if you are using this well you have put away the drums of war and stepped back a bit from encounters fiery in nature.
On April 11th Venus backs up into Pisces and tears could be replacing war if you engaged others in battles. ON the 17th Venus moves direct but will remain in the Shadow point until May 21st trying to get us to look at how we do relationships as well as maybe bringing some people from our pasts back into our lives.
How best to use this? How about visualizing your strengths, abilities, and courage and then believing in all that you are and making it visible to others and to yourself during this Venus retrograde and look for and Reconnect to passion and joy in your life. And maybe slow down and not rush into projects or new plans if possible.
- March 20th to April 19th we are in the ARIES Mode of “I AM” with the sun in Aries.

- The colors of April are all forms of RED, which is the color of passion, new beginnings; Red is the color of the first Chakra and carries unbelievable power if you wear it, or even visualize it. Did you know red in a room brings passion and energy to that room? Or to a person?
The Ruling planet until the 19th is Mars the God of war and passions who is wearing his Pisces Garb (the I BELIVE, and I see sign) and for many of us there will be confusion as to what is the best course of action in many areas of our lives. Pisces is about the dream and since Mars is about action and passion, we could be really getting into Feeling and Inner connection during this time so that we can access our joy and passions So when Mars moves to its favorite Sign (Aries) on April 22nd we are really ready to make the correct actions for new beginnings.
Saturn the planet of discipline and obligations remains retrograde in the analytical sign of Virgo all month further increasing that questions without answers energy which is so strong right now. Pluto which is the planet which represents transformation and evolution will move retrograde (apparent backwards motion so we can re appraise and reconnect to our plans and maybe reconfigure them) at 3 degrees of Capricorn on April 4th until September 11th when it moves direct at 1 degree of Capricorn. This will be a great time to reconnect with your plans for your future and maybe build the confidence within yourself to know that you can accomplish far more than you would have believed this time last year.
We have a powerful Full moon on April 9th 7;56am pdt which this year is Passover. This full moon with the moon at 20 degrees of Libra and the sun at 20 degrees of Aries is pushing us to make correct actions for self while also thinking about what is working for others. Full moons ask us to Release and let go and this one asks us to release co dependent actions and replace them with healthy self care.
The sun into Taurus on the 19th further increases our need to HAVE, that which is OUR OWN. Possession or owning things, people, emotions, events, becomes a very strong need for us all. So remember what we possess that lasts forever are not material things, but inner strength, courage, compassion, understanding, friendships, learning, love and who we are daily becoming isn’t it?
Taurus is an Earth sign which always wants to Build and is Fixed in modality, which means just what it says, hard to move but a great deal of tenacity, strength, and endurance for us all to use no matter what our sun sign is.
Use those Dark of the moon wish days on the 22nd and 23rd to reconnect to fire and passion And Happiness in your own life and make your wishes on the 24th based upon building upon your passions and your joy and add some fun in also please.
On the 24th we have our first Taurus new moon of the year at 5 degrees of Taurus at 8:23pm pdt. Since all new moons are seeding points or wish times until the next full moon, Really think about what you want to plant in your life now. And, please Work on making lists of accomplishments for yourself, of what you have done, and look at your life as energetically growing healthier and stronger each day.
On this same Day Venus moves back into the sign of Aries and many of us will feel we now have more answers and be more ready for the next step in our lives. Remember though until the end of May we are still experiencing a time of reprocessing what we want (AKA Venus retrograde shadow)
Astrology is the music in the background normally, but this year the band seems to be playing that Aquarius (what is the last thing you ever thought could happen) theme along with an increased energy which seems to push us and pull us a bit more than normal.
IF you are feeling life is not controllable…Perhaps it is Uranus the planet of Change in Pisces in a opposition aspect with Saturn in Virgo. The need for order and the answers of Saturn in Virgo is being overwhelmed by Uranus (change) in Pisces. And part of what we are all learning right now is the serenity prayer.
What can you change and what is not in your power to change, and learning how to tell the difference is the Challenge isn’t it? This energy has been active for the last year and continues through another year so why not sit back and let the tides take you to your next adventure?
Chiron the wounded healer is traveling in the sky with Neptune (intuition) and Dreams and visions are stronger as well as the inner knowing of what our next step should be to heal ourselves and our world around us.
We are now in Spring and Spring always has the tremendous promise of the wonderful and fulfilling year to come. See yourself as the Fairy Godmother or Godfather of Spring in your own life and those around you, and wave that wand, roll up those sleeves and get busy creating. What we do have control over is how we handle what comes to us and isn’t this what SOUL GROWTH is and isn’t that what we are truly here for on this planet at this time?
