The Symbol for August is the Lion, the Colors sacred to this energetic time are Gold and scarlet, which are colors of the 1st and 3rd chakras. Grounding us with Red into our passion 1st Chakra. And energizing us to KNOW we can accomplish anything we choose with Gold 3rd Chakra.
The theme for the sun in Leo is always “I WILL”. AND, what do you will to do or create with the passions of fire (action) and water (emotions) so strong this month? Do you will to use your power to continue with your path or is it time to change? For us all; we can Use the power of Emeralds, and Jade, as power and growth stones to help us with this month of huge changes for ourselves and the planet.
The sun in Leo which is the sign of love, self expression, respect and recognition echoes this theme until the 23rd when the Sun shifts to much more practical Virgo. Until then feelings are strong and hurt easily and we are all still searching out the answers as to whether our current path is the one which will help us achieve our dreams
2011 is a number 4 year of looking at our foundation and what security is for us personally and for the planet and when you add the 8th month (August) you get a 12 or 3 month of learning and processing much of the information we are receiving from inner and outer sources.
This theme of what we need to hold onto and assist to grow in our lives and what must be deleted is echoed for us all with the planet Mercury moving RETROGRADE or into redo, reprocess, replay, reconfigure, and reacess mode. Mercury moves Retrograde in Virgo on the 2nd of August aligning with the rethinking phase of this retrograde. Then on August 8th Mercury moves back into FIERY LEO impassioning us with a desire for heart centered ideas. Mercury moves direct on August 26th during the magical Balsamic or dark of the moon wishing time indicating this new moon on August 28th will indeed be powerful.
This time gives us a tremendous opportunity to readdress our lives as well as the emotional issues which we have chosen to carry with us thus far. Security issues are powerful for us all now with Saturn (structure) Opposing Uranus (change) Retrograde in Aries, and Pluto in Capricorn Squaring the above, add Mars into Cancer on the 3rd and we now again have a CARDINAL CROSS OF planets squaring off asking us to take action in some way.. CHANGE is the theme which cannot be avoided , so use your own HEART desire with the sun in Leo and make changes from the heart center.
This August certainly is a readdress time with Uranus (Change) retrograde in Aries (Self) Neptune retrograde in Pisces backing back into Aquarius on August 4th until march of next year, asking us to reconnect to new visions and ideas. and Pluto the planet of transformation retrograde in Capricorn representing some upset out there in politics and perhaps a stronger desire to make some political changes within our own sphere this month.
Doesn't it seem that the eclipse we surely thought was past, is still working on our unconscious minds and in our conscious world. I would expect August 2011 to be anything but a peaceful month.
But, isn't part of the whole test we have been having to recognize that peace can only truly exist within self? That self power and self motivation and our own ways of dealing with outer circumstances need to adjust to this new energy?
I believe we are encountering an energy which demands of us to move inward, to really look at self, and then use this powerful square of outer planets and Mars (Action) to one thing at a time begin a new way of BEING,(Aries) feeling (Cancer) thinking, (Aquarius) and relating to others (Libra)
On the 13th we have a FULL MOON here in Seattle Washington at 11:57am PDT. With the sun in Fiery, passionate and intense Leo (fire) we are asked to move into JOY, and the moon in Aquarius which is much about ideas and communication, we are now gifted with the ability to truly look within ourselves and make decisions based upon our passions. AND maybe rethink some of our old ways of Doing things.
This Full moon is a time of releasing and finding the balance between what the mind tells us (Aquarius) and what we know on an passion and intuitive level (Leo). Let go of all ideas which are not in alignment with your heart and souls desire for this next 2 weeks is our powerful message.
On the 16th look for some real shifts as the Sun in Leo touches Venus (what we want) Mercury (how we think) (Retrograde remember?) and… Venus and mercury come together ideas and visions and desire today also. On the 17th as the moon touches Uranus (Change) I would look for these 2 days to be full of real shifts if you are willing to shift gears and perhaps do something you have not done before, to get an outcome which has not happened for you before.
Venus into Virgo on the 21st brings a slow down of energies followed on the 23rd by the Sun into Virgo and we are now in "I ANALYZE state".
On the 30th Jupiter the planet of MORE moves retrograde in Taurus and this means if you have the option to begin energetically to move forward with projects before this date if possible. Jupiter will not move direct until December 25, 2011 This does not mean you cannot make projects work during this time, but things will move much slower and take a bit more effort to get them off the ground.
On the 25th as Mars Squares Saturn and the moon squares Saturn we set up for a powerful wishing Balsamic or dark of the moon time. Each month 72 hours prior to the new moon we enter a wishing, phase of intense power, so use the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th until 8:04pm when we have the new moon in Virgo for setting intentions in alignment with finding some real answers in your life.
NEW MOONS are bringing in times and times of increase and on the 28th we have a NEW MOON IN Virgo and we are moved into a more analytical mode so use these 2 weeks please From August 28th to September 23rd when we have the Fall Equinox to anchor in summer energies of Growth and Trust.
August 2011 carries the power to fuel our dreams and the sustainability to manifest them into a real world for ourselves. The practical energy along with the Leo (Passion) stuff really is going to have many of us making shifts to secure ourselves into what we feel is fun, joyful, creative as safe as possible and sustainable.
The stars do guide us, but they do not control us, and this month we have some HUGE decisions to make as to what to support and what to let go.
