What would you like ECLIPSED in your life?
August Begins with an ASTROLOGICAL BANG as we have A NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE pdt 3:13am. Solar eclipses are powerful events (nothing to fear) and this one At 10 Degrees of LEO asks us to look at our lives. To ask of ourselves are we living with Passion, joy, creativity, and having FUN yet? If not, then what do we need to bring into our lives over the next 2 weeks to make life joyful again. August is the 8th month of a number 1 year of new beginnings for the planet and for many of you it will truly be a 9 Month of endings. Many of you have decided a venture or friendship, or work relationship just is not working out and it is time to revamp our lives into a more joyful and honoring energy. I always advise that we make as few changes as possible between the eclipses, which travel in pairs, and a 2nd Eclipse follows on August 16th.
August 16th we have a FULL MOON Lunar eclipse at 2:16pm pdt, with the sun still in the fiery and passionate sign of Leo. As in all full moons the moon is in opposition to the sun. So for this eclipse the moon is in the sign of Aquarius which is more logical and a bit less impetuous. Of course as in all eclipses the Nodes in the sky (What we need to do this lifetime) are in the signs of the eclipse further pulling us into connection with Self and Self honoring (Leo) and detaching from emotionally charged situations which no longer serve us (Aquarius).
This Eclipse seems to pull us to let go of all which is not in harmony with our souls path. I really believe that many of you will find the 2 week period between the 1st and the 16th a very significant time for relationships and new choices.
August 16th through the 30th will be inner and outer housekeeping time. This 2 week energy from the Lunar eclipse to the next New Blue moon on the 30th is in the Sign of logical and more linear Virgo. This Blue New moon is about looking logically at choices we have made and correcting our course to set sail in the direction which best suits us. So, if you can wait to make major decisions and begin new ventures you may find the 30th new moon will give you more concrete outcomes and you will be much happier if you can wait And if you cannot wait, you are gifted with the energy of Change, Uranus the planet of Change moving retrograde in the sign of Pisces. Uranus allows us a wonderful opportunity to make changes based upon our vision of what we truly are within our souls. I call this Shape shifting time and until November 27 when Uranus goes direct we have an opportunity to dream our reality and then see what work needs to be done to really make it happen. Yes, Saturn the planet of accountability is in Virgo and there is some work that needs to happen to truly create something worthwhile.
To create our new lives and reshape ourselves these eclipses seem to ask that we eclipse, or block, or otherwise let go of Beliefs, and ideas and perhaps those voices of others who try to rain on our parade. With the first couple of weeks of August having Mars the planet of Energy and Anger making an opposition to Uranus many of us will finally get up the courage, or frustration, to finally get moving with the choices which are going to bring us the recognition, honoring and joy we know we truly do deserve. This month is not a time for false humility, nor for throwing tantrums but the energies from the sky will allow and assist us to truly move through this time with honor and dignity and doesn’t all honor have to begin with honoring ourselves?
Pluto has backed into Sagittarius and this energy of transformation looking backwards In a fire sign adds further fuel to our mission at this time to connect more into our core needs.
With Neptune retrograde also this time could be a time when connection to spirit is entirely possible and the veils between what can be seen and What REALLY is, are very thin. Sit down, listen quietly and you will hear the voice of your soul helping you with the next step this month.
August Planets
The Sun or the Light in the sign of Leo until the 22nd when it moves to Virgo is assisting us to radiate self-love, self-confidence and a healthy love of all our fellow humans, OR, we can hook into pride? Your choice, but Leo’s message is to remain heart centered in all we say, think, and do and radiate this out to the world.
On August 22nd the sun enters the Sign of Virgo and we seem to need more details and life should begin to become more settled.
Mercury (ideas and communication) in the sign of Leo until the 10th seems to ask us to think about a more creative life On the 10th Mercury moving to Virgo will assist us in getting more information
Venus (love and what we love) in Leo until the 5th asks all of the above and Venus moving into Virgo on the 5th Seems to really begin to push the buttons on healthy self care.
Mars the planet of action in the sign of Virgo until the 19th wants us to really look at options and on the 19th when mars moves into Libra we all begin to really think more about balance and romance in our lives.
Jupiter (faith and optimism) retrograde in Capricorn all month is trying to take some of the heat off of us and allow us to reconnect and not push so hard.
Pluto (transformation) retrograde in Sagittarius is asking us to find our passion.
Uranus (change) Retrograde in Pisces is trying to help us reconnect with our dream.
Stones for this time are Amber, Topaz and Peridot which Are all stones to assist to bring Joy and Bliss to your life. Since all these stones carry an electrical charge and bring energy to your mind and physical body, expect some wonderful ideas and plans to come from inner guidance this month.
Colors for this time are The Gold’s, Reds, and Rich colors of the first harvest of the year, which will be August 1st, or Lammas. What is your personal first harvest going to be? And how can you use this time for your own movement towards joy?

We begin the month with the energy of FIRE, which is action. The Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Pluto and the North Node in Fire signs seem to urge us even more into finding our hearts desire, while giving us the courage to do so.
With August eclipses and always, remember please to, honor, learn from and release the past in order to use all this Fire and passion and intensity to bring more joy to yourself and to the world. We are on the ride folks, we may as well smile and enjoy it, because the only option is to get off and who wants to do that when we are in such interesting times and have great opportunity to make this world a better place?
