Planets in Earth, Air and Water seem fairly evenly distributed …but the big news which has been the news of this whole year is a heavy influence of Air energy (ideas) We now have 7 planets in Air signs this month asking that we all move into the energy of rethinking outdated attitudes, change your mind, change your life is the 2009 theme isn’t it.
Stones for this time are Amber, Topaz and Peridot which are all stones to assist to bring Joy and Bliss to your life.
Colors for this time are The Golds, Reds, and Rich colors of the first harvest of the year, which will be August 1st, or Lammas.
What is your personal first harvest going to be? And how can you use this time for your own movement towards joy?

We begin the month with the energy of FIRE, which is action. The Sun, Transpluto and South Node in Leo, and Juno which is equality in relationships in the fiery sign of Aries. Fire signs seem to urge us even more into finding our hearts desire, while giving us the courage to do so.
The Sun or the Light in the sign of Leo until the 22nd when it moves to Virgo is assisting us to radiate self-love, self-confidence and a healthy love of all our fellow humans, OR, we can hook into pride? Your choice, but Leo’s message is to remain heart centered in all we say, think, and do and radiate this out to the world.
OF Course the big news is the 3rd eclipse we have to finish up this season and take us through to December. We have a Lunar Eclipse which of course is a FULL MOON on August 5, 2009 5;55pm pdt here in the Seattle or west coast area.
This eclipse is much about relationships and what we value. And as in all Lunar eclipses it blocks the past in order for us to see clearly where we are. For sure, Money issues are highlighted as we are asked to let go of what is not enriching our lives and be open to changing our ways of thinking of what is important to us. With the sun at 14 Leo and the moon at 14 Aquarius for this chart we are going to be asked to move into heart energy as we open up to detaching from the little things in life which are not really important and focusing on what is Real for us.
Pluto which is transformation is retrograde along with Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune and Uranus. All of the outer planets retrograde now are asking us to reprocess our path on this planet and maybe our lives with others. Opportunities are huge with this wonderful chart to change attitudes, values and find truly what inspires and motives us and perhaps have some help from others in doing so. Our task is to be open to assistance and recognize that receiving as well as giving is part of the circle of life.
Saturn (discipline & Duty) in the sign of Virgo with Ceres, unconditional love in the 9th house of higher connections suggests that many of us will be reaffirming our connection with Higher Power, Great Spirit, God, Buddha, whatever connects you to source and if you are willing and ask, over this next few months we will be receiving more assistance from this source than we ever have before. We also have Mercury and Pallas Athena in Virgo so there is a great deal of analytical power during now.
Mars the planet of action in Gemini until the 25th when it enters Cancer asks that we get out and socialize, mix, mingle and meet new people.
Venus which is about love and Vesta, which is sacred connections are in Cancer until the 26th allowing us to be very intuitive and connected to feelings. When Venus enters Leo on the 26th we have an added POP of energy and more desire for passion, fun and joy in our lives and are perhaps a bit less emotional.
On the 25th Mars (action) enters Cancer and we need to be connected to those of like minds and will be more willing to search them out as Mercury (how we think) enters the more balanced and social sign of Libra. (I call this the Love connection energy).
Please use the dark of the moon on the 18th and 19th to set intentions. We have a very powerful energy with the moon in passionate Leo to find that which we LOVE, Desire, and which makes our Hearts sing. So on these days, OR right now would be good; how about we begin to work mentally to bring love, joy and passion into our minds and hearts to manifest with the New moon on the 20th. This seems a real necessity if you truly want to manifest your destiny here on this planet at this time, and perhaps even if we want to STAY on this planet?
How about Getting back into that hobby, exercise, activity, camping, hiking, movies, dinner with friends, art, travel, school, friendships, groups, or whatever which makes you HAPPY? Happy & Joyful is the key to start the motor of our lives always. Joy awakens creativity, romance, and attracts others to you and it lies within you. So, maybe remembering what sets your heart alight is the first step to doing it and then changing yourself and in doing that we of course change others don’t we?
The new Moon is a bringing in time and it is in the sign of (WHAT ELSE?) Leo. asking all of the above and opening doors for us to connect to our passions.
Relationships are the key this month. Relationships with Self, with higher power, with values, with finances and what we believe in as well as trying to open us up to relationships with those who will enrich our lives as we enrich theirs.
A HUGE shift happens on the 22nd as the North node in the sky moves out of the sign of Aquarius where it has been the last 14 months into the sign of Capricorn (achievement and a cardinal (initiating action) Earth (building) sign. (see more articles on this on my website in greater depth please)
The North node is a karmic destiny point which asks all of us on this planet to MOVE in this direction. The South node now shifts into the sign of Cancer (Cancer is water, Cardinal, and a sign which is about self nurturing) Yep, Cancer wants us to first take care of self, and then see to nurturing others. So, this Nodal shift of Cardinal (action type of energy) will be in place until 3/2/2011 when the North Node moves out of Capricorn into Sagittarius and the South Node to Gemini.
During this time we are asked to look to what we can build within our own lives and for the world (Capricorn) and see how our feelings, emotions and self care are going to help or hinder us. (Cancer) Shadow issues of Capricorn can be control since this planet is ruled by Saturn. Shadow issues of Cancer can be martyrdom or victimization. But we are not going to do this, RIGHT? We are going to look honestly at what needs to be healed.
Within our past, or present with the Cancer energy and give ourselves what it is that we need to be nurtured. When this begins, immediately you will see your outer self out there in the world begin to bloom and you will work that Capricorn energy. The blessings of this work is that when you are open to feeling you deserve happiness it comes to you.
On the 22nd the suns yearly movement into Virgo brings a sense of calm, grounds, centers and offers us more opportunities to think, ponder and perhaps even do some healing for ourselves and/or the planet. Virgo to me always represents the opportunity to heal our lives and since it is the last sign of Summer, we now ready ourselves energetically for Fall and the Fall Equinox which is September 22nd.
We are on the ride folks, we may as well smile and enjoy it, because the only option is to get off and who wants to do that when we are in such interesting times and have great opportunity to make this world a better place and at the same time step up a few steps so that our next incarnations we are over this bump in the road?
