 Thursday, August 5th is Chokhor Duchen (in Tibetan), the anniversary of the Buddha’s first discourse, where he spoke about the 4 noble truths and the 8fold path. This is one of the four holiest days in Buddhism, where the karmic results of our good and bad done today are multiplied many times (I’ve read 10,000 times, 100,000 times, 80,000 times, 1000000 times….some big number, anyway.)
