General Questions
Q: What is an astrology chart?
A: Well, for me it is your MAP, your souls journey, showing lots of past life stuff, much NEED TO DO THIS lifetime stuff and when combined with (Transits) Planets visiting us here right now it tells us timing and what a particular time, or circumstance is about. For some of us there are life circumstances which we are not especially happy about and many of us repeat the "WHY ME? Theme often with NO Answer coming to us.." Astrology often can answer that why me question.BUT: ..Astrology cannot change your life path, but maybe Astrology can let you see the Lessons, instead of the pain in an event or recurring theme in your life and maybe how to let go of that theme.
As in everything, Astrology will help you to see the past, see the future, and even see your own tools and when help is coming, but it does NOT do the work for you. You get to decide when it is time to make that apparent CURSE work as a blessing and truly realize how wise and ancient of a soul you have and how brave and wonderful you are for being RIGHT HERE< right now and hanging in there.
Q: How do I know my life purpose?
A: Well, #1 is that we all have one thing along this line and that is HELPING others. What you do for yourself dies with you and what you do for others lives out there in the world. So, we all have that purpose.
In Astrology we look at the NORTH NODE for the life path. And at the moon and the South node for past life information. What your sun sign is tells you what traits you are attempting to learn and your rising sign shows how you approach this.
A: WOW, if you have to ask, you know my answer is NO this is why my telephone is turned off at night. Too many years of young single clients calling me from the bar at 2am asking if they should go home with someone. I ALWAYS SAID NO… so this telephone call did not do them any good … if you have to ask? Frequently that means you need to sit, down and get more information before leaping..
Q: When do I need an appointment?
A: I think that we all need someone to talk things over with and that said. An appointment is sometimes BEST done when NOTHING is happening in your life so you can hear options and not be so tied into your problem of the moment. I suggest that most folks get an update 60 to 90 days BEFORE their birthday so they know whether their current location is the best energy for their next upcoming year. YES, location of where you are on your birthday can change your year.
I suggest that all of us have friends, and maybe even a therapist, minister, counselor, NLP person, or someone who we can talk things over with. Sometimes my friends want to take my side and I try and keep people around me who are HONEST, and even though it hurts sometimes… we all need others input ….when we ask for it…..
Q: Which person of the 3 people I am dating should I marry?
A: Probably NONE and you have not found them yet if you have to ask
Q: How do I connect to my guides and angels and listen and understand more about spirituality and intuition?
A: My suggestion is prayer, being quiet, turning off the radio and TV, learning meditation and also connecting with a class or gathering with others of similar interests. East West Bookstore here in Seattle has a great beginning group. Lauri Steen has a group going in West Seattle and if you check it out there are tons of groups around.
Primarily I do believe that inner connection involves trusting that you can handle what information you are getting. So, I constantly pray NOT to know anything that I cannot do anything about. And for all information that comes to me to HARM NONE: So protection and prayer work well for me.

Q: What is the difference in a Shaman and A healer?
A: I am not an expert on this but believe that from what I have heard and read Shamanism is about going into the problem, disease or what not and fixing it, or getting information that this is about this or that, or maybe even that this cannot be healed… From what I have seen…. Healers usually see, feel, sense and ask guides and angels and your body to react and work with them in unison. For all you Shamans and healers out there who disagree I know there is much more to this, but for keeping it short. This is my take on this.
Q: How do I find a good therapist or counselor and what type of work do I need to do?
A: Well, that one is your own question and only you can answer regarding what you need to work on…. I would always suggest that you interview a person who is going to be assisting you with decisions. Also getting a recommendation from someone you trust.
Look for someone who has the life experience you seek. For example a single 50 year old woman or man, never married or 2 times divorced might not be the best counselor for you and your husband?
Just because your insurance approves them does not mean they are right for you. There are some wonderful folks out there and looking and checking them out is the first step towards being happier and healthier both mentally and physically. IF you seek clarity, look for someone who is clear themselves.
Look at the teachers they have had, schools they attended, books they have read and are reading, degrees, experience, and find someone who Understands what it is that You are seeking from them and agrees that they can provide it for you…
OR better yet, someone willing to help you open up to find it within yourself…WE all have it all you know? Sometimes we just misplace it or lose confidence..….. IF you want to work with GOALS find someone who understands Goals. Not me for sure…
I can help with the out of body type of stuff, timing, astrology, numerology, tarot and some counseling, but recognizing what I am good at and referring you to others for what they are Better at than I am usually makes for a good person to work with. So, anyone who tells you they can do it ALL, ……run fast in the other direction please….
Q: How do I apply what you are writing to my astrological chart? I am so confused.
A: the report is for the days energy...which we are all using out there. I try and keep it pretty simple on the free reports...Such as..it is. not a good day for this, or that... and good for this and that...
To learn where each and every aspect happens each day usually requires that you have an ephemeris and know the degree and what not where each planet is at and what that means to you personally. I even put a KISS or keep it simple sweetie as kind of an overview for what is going on that day...
if you come to a calendar class or get a chart done to LEARN where you are aries, ect, then you can apply it to you personally and have a great prediction tool.
Q: Sometimes you write about a lot going on in a specific sign. I was wondering what it means if I don’t have any houses or planets in that specific sign. Am I still affected? (Please note: The original question was asked in relationship to current events around Scorpio so the answer uses Scorpio as an example. The answer applies to all signs.)
A: You always have a area of your chart which is Scorpio just as you have areas of your life where you do all the 12 signs. You have these signs in houses, or areas in your chart. THESE houses represent areas in your life so wherever An energy is, when a planet or planets come into this area, AND you have no planets in this area, it is like an empty room being NOW FULL of people doing things. AND sometimes can be felt more strongly than when you have personal planets in a sign.
Q: Would you mind telling me which are the top three signs that would be a good fit for a Sagittarius?
A: One of the most frequent questions I am asked is what sign Goes with what sign.. Truly there is no answer to this question. Often we find love with someone who is our MOON sign, or our VENUS sign, or even our Rising sign.
So, find someone you Like, and if and when you find a problem, then get a professional Astrology chart done with that person and LEARN about them a bit So that you can work out the problems. THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP Which Cannot work when both folks want it to work, and there is NO RELATIONSHIP which will work when both people are not working to Make it work.
Q: My name is spelled wrong on my birth certificate and my Mom never fixed it. Should I give you the wrong spelling or the correct spelling of my name for my numerology?
A: When I do a reading I assume that the UNIVERSE had a plan also and I always Want the incorrect spelling on the birth certificate and what you changed your name to as well. There are vibrations to all names and Elvis Presley has his birth certificate name spelled different than his Mother intended. Your name helps form your Path and there are no accidents.
Q: What is the moon void of course or v/c mean?
A: As the moon orbits the earth it passes through all 12 of the astrological signs every 28 and 1/2 days. When the moon is at the end of a cycle and it leaves its last aspect with another planet it moves v/c or VOID OF COURSE.
This time is a time when things rarely turn out as we might expect. Often we feel disjointed, disconnected and since the moon is our emotional connection often we can have some insecurity about our next step.
This is a great time for meditation, prayer, connecting to source, anchoring yourself in. Since the moon v/c can last for a couple of minutes and sometimes even for a day or two this time is a wild card for astrologers to call.
Unexpected results, emotions and feelings often crop up when the moon is between aspects and before it goes into the next sign (AKA v/c) I have had some wonderful FLY BY THE SEAT OF THE PANTS v/c times, and often had v/c times when the Plans went out the window. So, this often is not the best time for surgery and I would NEVER:: EVER: recommend moon v/c for a marriage or a contract chart.
Do not push or shove during this time and use it for inner connection or just going with the FLOW OF LIFE if possible. Immediately once the moon moves to the next sign it is no longer v/c and we are on to the next task in our lives.
V/C can be a GREAT time, just not as expected. SO I usually let you know if the v/c might be a difficult one or an easy one in my daily writings.
Get an Astrology calendar and you will see how often this happens. it is nothing to fear, rather a great opportunity for us to garner inwards energy and connect with spirit or inner self.
Q: I have a quick question. Currently Pluto is retrograde in my 2nd house and next month Jupiter will be retrograde in my 2nd house, both going direct around the same time in September. What does this mean?

ANYONE wanting to tell you what this means for you personally would have to look at your chart and see your sun sign, what aspects are with the CURRENT, Jupiter Pluto Retrograde as well as what planets you have in your natal 2nd house and the opposite house (8th) Other peoples values and finances... Since the 2nd house is VALUES as well as Finances it would be reacessing values and what is important in your life for the retrograde and for the direct, I would say...TIME TO GO FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN: and make transformations accordingly.

Timing Questions
Q: “My husband has been looking and wanting this job for 10 years, he has been offered it during Mercury retrograde, should he take it.”
A: Absolutely he needs to take the job….…not only did he probably begin looking before the Mercury retrograde began, but nothing should deter you from doing what you KNOW you should be doing. AND that said, if he (she) could begin after Mercury went direct that would be the best plan of action. IF he (she) cannot do that, just take the job and realize that it will be rewritten and things will shift within it.
Q: What is my least favorite question? WHAT do you think about this day for surgery, after the person has scheduled the date and it is often the day before the surgery? I always want to charge clients about $500 for this very uncomfortable question.
- IF you were worried you should have looked at dates before you set up surgery or had an appointment with an astrologer.
- Does anyone want to tell you NO, that is a horrible date?
- Sometimes we must do things on NOT so good days, prayer, positive thought and a positive outlook weighs much heavier than anything planetary in my books. So, if it is set up, you are not changing it, PUT THE MOST POSITIVE energy possible into it and KNOW that all will be divine and perfect. AND no that is NOT a cop out. IT is the cold hard facts of how this works…

Q: What do you think about something done like surgery during mercury rx?
A: Mercury retrograde is redo, replan, rethink, reconfigure. I would first look at the information I have on my web site which tells you a lot about retrogrades. IT will also mention in several places that Energy in water besides emotions is about bleeding and swelling and Figure that a mercury rx. In a water sign which is what we will have in NOVEMBER Would not be my first choice. Then I would look at What the sun was in and Moon and a lot more, but most especially how this was working in my own chart.
Then I would figure that if I felt that an elective surgery were something I wanted To do and I believed in astrology I would have a competent astrologer do my Chart and see what was going on for me personally during that time. OR I would Just set an intention that it would all be divine and perfect and sense how I personally Felt about it. And go ahead if it felt right..
And if it was NON ELECTIONAL I would then trust in GOD and do a prayer And intention that I WOULD KNOW that all would be divine and perfect.
Q: What is the best day for a marriage?
A: Well, this depends on a number of things and a good astrologer has to look at both people’s charts as well as the energies going on in the sky. NO ASTROLOGER will EVER suggest that you get married Mercury retrograde, Mars retrograde or Venus Retrograde times. (CHECK my websites for these times).
