Sing for JOY
August 2006

2006 is a number 8 year of reward, respect and recognition for the planet and when you add the 8th month (August) you get a 16 or a 7. The number 7 to me is (AHHH HAAAA, I am finally seeing the light, finally making the connection and finally ready to GO)

This theme is echoed by the sun in Leo which is the sign of love, self expression, joy, and asks us to draw closer to our heart and the song of desire which the soul sings to us.

• The Symbol for August is the Lion,
• the Colors sacred to this energetic time are Gold and scarlet, which are colors of the 1st and 3rd chakras. Grounding us with Red into our passion, and energizing us to KNOW we can accomplish anything we choose with Gold.

The theme for the sun in Leo is always “I WILL”. AND, what do you will with the passions of fire (action) and water (emotions) so strong this month? Use the power of Emeralds, and Jade, as power and growth stones, and tend to your inner and outdoor garden to energize yourself as well as Mother Earth.

We begin with Mercury the planet of ideas and communications direct, but still moving across the shadowy land which is traversed in its mercury retrograde last month. Until Mercury re enters LEO on the 10th we are still within that sacred Shadow of Mercury retrograde. This time gives us a tremendous opportunity to readdress our lives as well as the emotional issues which we have chosen to carry with us thus far.

Mars the planet of action in the grounding and centered sign of VIRGO asks that we do our duty to others in actions which will center us into a healthier way of life. The outer Planets Pluto (transformation in Sagittarius) Uranus (change in Pisces) and Neptune (in Aquarius) seem to give us a bit of a break from that I MUST DO IT RIGHT NOW feeling we have had for the first part of 2006 as they are retrograde all month. So, Please use this month well. It seems we have been given a real gift of intuition and connection to realms unseen upon this planet for thousands of years with planetary lineups this last year and an opportunity to know ourselves much better as well.

On the 9th we have a full moon here in Seattle at 3:54am. With the sun in Fiery, passionate and intense Leo (fire) we are asked to move into JOY, and the moon in rather calm, cool, and collected Aquarius (air) we find our hearts as well as our minds engaged in our own and collective needs of others. We now enter a 2 week window of letting go, of blocks and old patterns. This Full moon is a time of releasing and finding the balance between what the mind tells us and what the heart demands of us…

On the 10th Mercury (ideas) into Leo pushes us forward even more into the fiery passion of creativity and ideas are juicy and full of joy if we allow it to happen. On the 12th Venus the planet of Love and beauty enters Leo and more of the above times 1,000.

OF course, Saturn the planet of containment and responsibility in the fire sign of Leo this whole year has demanded our accountability to all of the above and this month pushes us even more strongly into what makes us HAPPY and what helps us to sing our song

Jupiter the planet which seems to demand more of us continues its journey this month through the passionately emotional and psychic sign of Scorpio. This planet for the last year has been uploading intuition, ideas, visions, and dreams in us all as well as a very strong dose of emotional connection to our unconscious mind and dream state. With Uranus the energy of change in Pisces (another water sign) and the North Node (what we must do this lifetime) In Pisces also, FIRE AND WATER is the energy of August. Which of course is what? STEAM…… to power your life if you choose?

On the 21, 22, and 23rd until 12:10pm we are in DARK OF The MOON time and wishes made during this fiery, passionate LEO moon time will bring you much closer to all of the above. On the 22nd as the Sun shifts to Virgo we refine those wild and wonderful energies into sustainable form and have more tools to retrain and heal ourselves and others. The sun in Virgo is about muting energies down a bit, and the theme for this time is “I ANALYZE” now the colors shift to grays, navy blue and we begin the time of harvest. And a new planting with the new moon on the 23rd.

On the 23rd at 12:01pm the NEW moon creates a new doorway to healing and building your future and joy as the sun and moon touch in Virgo. On the 27th as Mercury (ideas and communication) enters Virgo we have even more grounding and centering.

August 2006 carries the power to fuel our dreams and the sustainability to manifest them into a real world for ourselves. The stars do guide us, but they do not control us, what are you doing to control your life? Are you moving into the next step, or stuck in that old life which is now cramping your toes and knowing you MUST break Free? On the 30th as Venus the planet of Love enters Libra we perhaps will connect with those who will assist us to break those bonds, or at the least help us find the door and the key if we are willing to open our eyes and SEE?  Free will is your divine right, use it well this month and watch your soul fly and soar and listen to the song your soul sings.

We are now in the 8th month of a number 8 year so we begin a 16 or 7 month. Great spiritual insights are possible. (SPIRITUALITY to me is how you feel about your life at the end of the day, are you proud and happy with what you did JUST FOR TODAY?) If so, you lived a spiritual day. (My take on this) Surely does make life easier doesn't it?

6:08am the moon moves into Powerful Scorpio and Another planet adds to the trine of water planets in the sky. A grand trine is planets in all 3 of the water signs working in conjunction to create an atmosphere, of deep inner knowing, deep feeling and greater intuition. THUS THOSE WILD Dreams for us all.

Today is Lammas or the ½ way point of summer and a time of great celebration. I look at these ancient ritual days as a real opportunity for us to celebrate the harvest of our own lives.

Inner truth day and soul searching for many.

The moon in Scorpio moved v/c at 2:08am and then into Sagittarius at 4;13pm. This day had great capacity to help you recognize your inner truth (which is why I took off and did not write). I will be moving my office from my home into another location and had to make some inner adjustments for this leap..

The trine from mercury (ideas) to the moon gave us a long v/c or time out to ponder our life and then 4:13pm ideas should have begun to come to you.

THE MAJOR aspect of the week is a JUPITER (faith and trust) square asking us if we can TRUST and all of us probably had something going on this week that required that T word didn't we?

Optimism entered 4;13pm when the moon moved to Sagittarius and we got a bit of help. I always believe that I can wish, I can hope, and then I need to do the work required to make it happen:

Saturday August 05 2006 - Magical connections possible
The moon in Sagittarius at 2:13am creates wild and wonderful dreams and visions, portents and omens are strong. Look for signs as to what the next step is going to be and expect some wild and wooly stuff until 12:22pm when the MOON (emotions) and Pluto (transformation) join together in Sagittarius and then we have a v/c..

WOW, how to call this one? Glad that I am not working today but will be contacting stores for space and maybe this Pluto aspect is going to bring myself and YOU some wonderful contacts today?

At 10:19pm the moon slips to calm cool and collected Capricorn and we get a bit more opportunity to double check information. Not the warmest of evenings but one to balance checkbooks and look at your next practical step on your path.

The moon in Capricorn works hard today to keep us on track and with our eyes on OUTCOME. At 4:54am for the one and only time this year the sun in the sky touches Saturn the planet of accountability and responsibility.

If this sounds bad to you, the REST of the story is that Saturn in the Fun loving and outgoing sign of LEO. Leo is FIRE and all fire is about our JOY and this is a day when you get to see if you are having FUN yet? And if you are not, then you have great capacity today to see what you need to do to do so.

10;20am Mars the planet of action kisses up to Jupiter to create a Purposeful and thoughtful energy to help you accomplish a great deal if you want?

6:04pm the moon wanting emotional detachment makes a rough aspect with Jupiter wanting Emotional CONNECTION as this planet is in the sign of Scorpio for another 3 months.

Wednesday August 09, 2006 - let go with joy today
FULL Moons are releasing and letting go times and here we are again at a Magical point in each month where we are asked what needs to be gifted with releasing it? What will we do with that space, and what has reached its expiration date within our lives?

With the Moon in Aquarius and the sun in Leo we are asked to balance the intellectual coolness and analytical qualities of Aquarius with the passionate intensity of Leo. Saturn (accountability) in Leo and Neptune (illusion or creativity) in Aquarius these 2 powerful planets come more into conflict with a powerfully assisted opposition.

Oppositions in astrology require that we find that middle ground and this whole year we have been gifted with some diametrically opposed viewpoints haven't we? This is about that person who just will not see your side, who believes the worst of you and you cannot figure out, what in the heck is going on? This also is the wonderful energy that allows you to create gold from straw and know that you can make things happen magically. We are gifted with this planetary aspect for the next year and have been in this energy for a whole year.

My sincere hope is that by the time this is over, we will know our own power And move past anger, frustration and hate into loving acceptance and knowing that we are all TRULY one on this planet. And maybe even in the universe.

Thursday August 10, 2006 - SURRENDER to the flow
The moon moves into Pisces at 1:10am creating a wonderful and rather dreamy day for letting go. Surrender is the name of the game right now. NO conflict, no fighting, and please realize that Saturn and Neptune in opposition today (VERY STRONG) (this one is really all year) (What fun?)Creates an even stronger energy of us trying to balance reality and fantasy.

Tears could flow a bit more easily today than normal and emotions could be a bit stirred up. Which would be a good thing if there are things you are trying to ignore in your life?

I used to say that I lived on the RIVER DENIAL (THE NILE) and that it ran right through my living room.. How about you? IS there an elephant in your living room and you are trying to ignore the smell? Wednesday August 16, 2006 - New ideas are highlighted
NO grumbling and moaning over what cannot be helped today please. The rather rough v/c or moon timed out from 6:51pm last night continues through this morning and at 7;07am the moon entering Gemini gives us a much needed feeling of getting out of that box. Ideas now flow more easily and we can see other options.

For me,,prayer, meditation, breathing techniques... and just last week a session with Shawn when my mind was so full of ideas, thoughts and fears about moving and I could not get clear even on what I wanted in a home besides to be able to work with clients. After a few minutes he got me into the FEELING of KNOWING what it would feel like (For me feeling is important since I have a water sign rising) But with all the Libra, Aquarius and Gemini (air) and Fire stuff in my chart I get on fire with IDEAS and lose track of the feeling... So, 40 minutes with Shawn and I got rid of those zillions of ideas going frantically around in my mind and the next day walked into the place that FELT right.. NOW we are back into the mind stuff with inspections, but i KNOW how to do this more gently and easily.

We are never done growing and learning, and isn't that a blessing? AND i also (LIKE all of you) sometimes wish for a peaceful spot in the stream of life, to pull over in the canoe (Motorized vehicles are more than I want to handle right now) and just relax, watch the water and enjoy the peace and serenity. and then my guides say. 1000's of years of that when you pass over Carol, get back out there into the stream, network, write, connect.... and GET THAT BOAT BACK into the waters of life....... so, if it helps, i am out her with you, learning, growing and trusting more each day that there is truly a plan and that we are given what we need..and if i work hard enough...and think about it the right way,,,,i can also have life give me what I WANT......

We are now in the DARK OF THE MOON shadow or Balsamic moon (please visit my website and read the article) these next 48 hours are the most magical time for intentions and the worst time for contracts of the legal type. Make soul contracts today and tomorrow and the next day until the NEW MOON at 12:10pm Wednesday the 23rd when we begin another cycle of seed planting in our lives.

Meanwhile, today carries that Leo moon and Passions run high. As well as a strong sense of knowing what needs to be done, but are you ready to do it is the question?

Thursday August 24, 2006 - let go and Let higher power take over
The moon in Healing Virgo today carries the theme from yesterday of new beginnings and us all wanting all the facts that our little minds can grasp. And probably getting closer today than most days this month.

12:13pm the moon (emotions and Jupiter (expansion and feelings as it is in Scorpio mingle in order for us to be able to use the head and heart together

Thursday August 31, 2006 - ADAPTABILITY
The moon moves into Fiery Sagittarius at 12:01am and tries to push us into a more spontaneous energy. All those planets in Virgo are not happy to play this game and tell the moon (HEY, it is Just Thursday and not the weekend and we need to work). Yet the moon glibly wants what it wants and tries to push us into a more philosophical approach to that balancing the account type of energy all around it.

What this means to you is according to how you use it. Budgeting our resources is Virgos job while Sagittarius says there is more than enough for all. Adaptability is the name of this day and he who has the most adaptability wins.
