MARS Retrograde 2007Good Astrology books are in the thousands and all astrologers believe in the basics, planets are actors and the signs they wear are the energy they put on. Aspects are relationships between planets in the sky, which surely do seem to influence us down here on Mother Earth. From here on we differ so drastically it is unbelievable. First and foremost your own mind set determines how you see something. ½ empty or ½ full doesn't it? So, even as a professional, an astrologer puts that image into the work, he or she does. IF they are a ½ empty person/astrologer they will look at events going on as DOOM and GLOOM, and if they are the other type they will (AS I DO, believe, that by putting out GOOD suggestions, ideas, visions of WHAT could be) we can change the world, while at the same time being honest when you see bad weathering coming for someone. AND every 2 years when Mars goes retrograde I get to read a lot of GOOD astrologers predicting some rather nasty stuff so this time I decided to get out ahead of the pack and put my own 2 cents worth out here for you to ponder. Planets for sure have jobs to do and each planet and each sign has both a light and dark side. As always, we get to choose a great deal of how this manifests in our own personal lives. The Planet Mars is in Astrology related energetically to the God of War in Ancient times. Mars is the energy we use for, passion and the planet we use in our daily lives to do what needs to be done, and run when necessary as well as crawl. Mars is a personal planet and when personal planets move retrograde they surely can give us a bit of a STOP, and rethink and since this planet relates to DOING: Mars retrograde has a bad reputation for being a ROUGH time to get things done. Mars is truly the planet of energy, it was in olden times called the God of War, and/but it is the energy that gets you into the car to go to work, and gives you passion for what you do, who you love and how you live your life. OUR LAST MARS RETROGRADE: was Mars in Taurus year before last…Mars was last retrograde from October 1st through December 9th 2005. That Mars retrograde was anything but passionate, fiery and Explosive. IN Nature this planet (MARS) wants us to MOVE and get going and is happiest in fire and action type of energy. Taurus wants it done right so that it can move forward with things in order. So, our last Mars retrograde was Energy towards manifesting what you WANTED and Mars in Taurus for sure showed all of us where we were resistant,. And for some of us really got us on track towards making some huge life changes… AND "it was A WONDERFUL TIME TO REALLY DEFINE, and work TOWARDS that which you needed in your life. This year Mars retrograde has a totally NEW FACE and does not have the rough aspects which came with the last Backwards motion of this planet. This year Mars moves Retrograde November 15, 2007 in the sign of Cancer which is water, and much more about emotions and how we feel than any other sign. Mars in Cancer is a time to care for home, family, safety, security and a time of reconnection to our roots. Mars retrograde of course will have us thinking not only of the past (reconnecting) but also preparing for the next step. As all of the retrogrades this year of 2007 are a bit more interesting than normal we now have Mars moving from Water (emotions, intuition and feelings) into AIR (GEMINI) ON NEW YEARS eve Dec 31, 2007 as it backs into the air sign of GEMINI. We move into 2008 with a wonderful aspect of truly reconfiguring our ideas, our visions of what our world should be and a strong connection to psychism, the other side, feelings, poetry, music, and so much which raises mans soul high above War and strife and aligns us with Higher visions as well as with a new way of thinking. OF course there will be some reconfiguring plans as this is a really strong TIME TO FEEL and think. What would your life choices be if you made them from Feelings? Is a magical window of time for us all. Mars during this time makes a TRINE or aspect of Ease with the Planet Uranus the planet of Change in the sign of PISCES and by the time this planet moves direct on January 30th is also making a trine with Neptune (intuition) and Ceres (nurturing of the planet and the asteroid relating to unconditional love) Since trines are aspects of ease, This Mars retrograde has the potential to be one of the most wonderful times this planet has ever seen. So, Rethinking actions, plans, connections and what your current projects need to make them feel right is a major part of this retrograde. AND what can your life be when it feels GOOD is the question you are to ask yourself. AND how do you make this happen is the answer that could come to you if you sit quietly, pay attention to your inner feelings, knowing and begin to reconfigure your actions in accordance with your desires. Mars will not move retrograde again until December 20, 2009 when it moves Retrograde in the FIERY Sign of Leo. The Fire Sign of Leo is about connecting with heart energy and living heart centered. Mars retrograde in 2009 will surely ask of us to be doing and living what this current Mars retrograde is giving us. The gift of being able TO LIVE FROM THE heart, but first it seems this year we must truly understand and FEEL what we want in order to truly manifest it.
