Happy Birthday Taurus and Gemini Sun Signs

May 2010 the 5th month in a number 3 year brings us numerology wise into a number 8 month and time to review our lives, check out the respect and reward meter and decide what it is time to eliminate on that 9 of endings Month in June (or maybe earlier for some).

May each year has planets in rich and earthy Taurus, Gemini and Cancer. This time always brings us into a time of richness and fruitfulness. This year the major shift is that Uranus (change) and Jupiter (Faith, and expansion) are traveling together in Pisces. Kind of supersizing change and asking us (no demanding) that we have FAITH and hang in there with what Feels right to us. Not fear type of feeling, but that inner GUT knowing is very strong the next 7 months if you will just slow down and listen.

There are lots of important things happening this May and I will put them at the bottom of this. But here is the explanation for some of them.

The Symbol For the energy of Taurus with the sun in this sign until the 20th is the Bull. Taurus is a FIXED Earth sign (Earth signs are about Building and planting) So, for all of us this time gives us the dedication, tenacity and the determination to build what is most important to us.

Complicating this a bit we have Mercury (ideas and communications) Retrograde in the sign of Taurus, slowing down growth and asking us, to review, reappraise, reconnect, and make sure our building plans are secure. On the 11th when Mercury moves direct we are in a strong dark of the moon Taurus energy. So, if possible wait until after that Full moon on the 27th to get plans going. If not, then expect some revisions and that is a good thing also.

Magical energy Colors for May are Green for growth, Pink for love and blue for clarity of thought, word, and deed and use the Stone Emerald to improve psychic powers, sharpen intellect, intuition, vision and memory.

The plant sacred to this time is the Hawthorne also known as the May tree which blooms only in May and is used for clarity, visions and psychic ability.

May 1st, which is also BELTANE and a fertility time, opens us to all that is rich, luxuriant and abundant in our lives.. May Day this year has the moon in Sagittarius making a strong rough aspect with Jupiter, not the most romantic energy and rather like most of the energy right now more designed to move you into inner knowing. This is followed day May 2nd strong energies demanding changes in our inner workings which need to work into our daily lives.

Think carefully and take great care this month to encourage the plants to grow and not the weeds in your life and your mind.. We are being challenged for the next few months with a T Square which is 4 planets asking very different things of us. Jupiter and Uranus (trust and make changes based on trust) Saturn in Virgo, look for details and facts but perhaps recognize that there is more than can be seen now, Pluto in Capricorn, work to be your best you can be to assist the world.

Look for answers on the 6th as the moon touches Neptune and we are asked to move into the dream of what we know we truly are. Mothers day this year is a rough astrological day with the moon in Aries making not so pretty music with Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto. This theme is to change our ways of dealing with even something as basic as Mothering and how we look at this with ourselves and others. Nurturing is a strong theme now and many of us may be asking how we better can be a GOOD MOTHER to ourselves.

The New moon on the 13th in Taurus is Ascension Day and if we do our work and be willing to live rich, abundant and luxuriously with Mother Nature as Taurus would like, could be a very good day and a start of some new ideas about our own lives and our sense of what is important to us personally and perhaps collectively. Mercury will be direct but still in the shadow giving us a kind of Wait and see new moon. Since New moons usually push us forward this energy could feel quite different than we are used to at this time of the year.

Some of the biggest news is that on the 15th of May Mars the planet of war and action finally moves out of its retrograde pattern which it has been traveling in the sign of Leo since October 2009. I would predict many of us calming down, angers and resentments easing and finally actions beginning to bear fruit by the end of the month (A very good thing).

I shall hope that civility and correct action come with this. This very LONG retrograde in the energy of Action and anger and War, has surely brought to the surface some very childlike energies for many of us. Many of us have really seen what we feel strongly about haven’t we? And how can that be a really bad thing. But now…. I would see by the end of May 2010 clarity and sanity (I hope) beginning to resume its place in our lives.

Venus the planet of love and what we like changing costumes from intellectual Gemini into safety and security conscious watery Cancer on the 19th. Venus the planet of love and what we want is now asking us what is it that would make us feel Safe and secure? For me the answer is always the same…security and belief in MYSELF and the knowledge that there is someone or something more powerful than myself helping and assisting me is the only REAL security there can be for me and this is really supported now with the planets.

Be aware of increased sensitivity and an ability to intuit much more clearly than usual with this great Pisces and Cancer stuff around to, Encourage visions, ideas, and your dreams. This is for sure the time to pay attention to that small quiet voice within yourself for messages from higher consciousness.

May 20th st through June 21st the Twins are our symbol with the energy of the Sun into Gemini. The Full moon on the 27th with the sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius asks us if we can be flexible enough to shift old and outdated paradigms of ideas. Now Mercury moves out of its retrograde shadow and we begin to really find some concrete details and plans seem to firm up.

May 27th on that wonderful full moon Uranus the planet of change moves to a sign of rebellion, revolution and movement (ARIES) for the first time in 84 years. Change is here, and now your are going to be feeling VERY PUSHED: Slow down and use your instincts please.

In alignment with this on the 30th Saturn the planet of discipline and obligations moves direct at 28 Degrees of Virgo and again, we are more firmly anchored into knowing there are some things which Must be done now.

Monday the 31st Memorial day Neptune the planet of illusion moves retrograde assisting us to get a bit clearer on the next step. Retrogrades of the outer planets often kind of take the pressure off and allow us a bit of ease from their powerful energies.

May 27th: Full Moon Sagittarius Gemini (ideas of freedom)
May 27th: Uranus moves to Aries for the first time in 84 years. The urge to get going will be very strong (Uranus will Back into Pisces again on August 13th). Jupiter and Uranus stay within 5 degrees of each other for the next Few months no matter what sign they are in, Aries or Pisces)

May 30th: Saturn direct in Virgo and many will feel pushed To do what duty calls them to do
May 3st: Neptune retrograde at 28 degrees of Aquarius until November 6th. Reinvision your ideas and move deeper into connecting linear mind and intuition
