Predict Your Year Ahead

The Sun which is the light in the sky takes one year to travel through the zodiac and at approximately one year, give or take a day or 2 (due to our calendars not being in tune with the sky) you have what is called a SOLAR RETURN.

The Sun in a Solar return chart is determined by the Place you are at the special moment each year when the sun Returns to the exact degree where it was when you were born. So, if you are in Seattle Washington your chart will be very different than if you are in Bangor Maine.

Starting with this Magical SOLAR Return date the sun in the sky over time will make certain aspects to your birth chart sun. These aspects or relationships to the sun in the sky will create pretty predictable occurrences and often feelings. SO, you do not need special astrological lists to get a KIND OF Simple way of looking at your year.

Two days before your birthday to 2 days after your birthday the sun is almost at the exact degree where it was when you were born. This is called a CONJUNCTION or is a planet sitting within 10 degrees of another planet. Take time out on your birthday because your astrological new year marks a conscious and subconscious movement towards new visions and goals and we process much of our lives at this important date each year. So, Sit down and give your life some thought and maybe make some goals as PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023 and we are going to all be BUILDING lots of wonderful things in our lives.

Your birthday is your NEW BEGINNINGS time and sets the stage for the next year. Your Solar return chart will give you lots more information but you will need an astrologer to interpret it for you. This is just something SIMPLE and easy for you to use.

From 25 to 35 days after your birthday the sun in the sky makes something called a semi-sextile to your birth chart sun. Sometimes this is a period of minor difficulty when you may be feeling pressured and there could be a feeling on an inner level that there is something you need to let go of which is keeping you from moving forward. Expect some struggles and if you push things during this time expect A LOT of struggles.. Ego is not the best path right now as this aspect is one of processing and Blending your energy with others during this time is best. COOPERATION IS THE KEY FOR THIS PHASE.

From 35 to 50 Days after your birthday the sun makes a SEMI SQUARE to your sun and if you can, ease up, slow down and take things a bit slower than normal. Annoyances could be stronger than normal as you are in a time again where pushing DOES NOT work. Notice how others are acting around you and LEARN DURING THIS TIME.

From about 55 to 65 days after your birthday the sun in the sky is making a SEXTILE to your sun. WOW: Now is the time to open those doors to adventure and new projects. New opportunities abound and socializing and meeting new people works wonderfully. You may notice dreams especially vivid and that you are more able to express yourself clearly and creativity right now. RELATIONSHIPS are good during this time, and if they are not, then maybe you NEED SOME NEW people in your life?

80 to 100 days after your birthday the sun in the sky squares the sun in your chart. This is an aspect of you needing to shift perceptions and realize that looking at things in the old way just does not work anymore. Authority, responsibility and others challenging you are strong themes during this time. What you do now will come back at you in 6 months so work hard, be a bit humble and realize you are in another sit back and learn stage. WORK works well during this phase and keeping to your own sense of do unto others.

115 to 125 days after your birthday you have a TRINE or aspect of ease as the sun in the sky plays Happy with the sun in your chart. Taking the lead and maybe even taking on new responsibilities gets you good results. Examining things which have not worked to your satisfaction may get you some ideas about how to fix relationships and things which have gone awry the last couple of months. Get our, mix, mingle and realize this is a GOOD period to fix things and also be more social than normal.

135 to 140 days after your birthday the sun is Sesquiquadrate your sun in your birth chart. This is a different aspect, some do this time well if they think outside the box. Whatever, you are not going to accomplish as much these few days as normal. Blocks and mini crisis’s come from others often during this time. Try to resolve conflicts if possible even though others seem less than perfect. Your health sometimes asks of you that you take a few days off during this time and addressing dental and health needs now is a great idea.

148 to 155 days after your birthday the sun is quincunx your birth chart sun. CONFLICT with others usually comes and look for broken engagements and plans not to go as expected. Look for the silver lining and realize that in every shift and change there is a new opportunity to learn. Details and time monitoring often are strong during this period of time for us. Change is the Name of this time. Putting up with PEOPLE as they really are and Being OPEN TO unexpected changes can make this a GREAT time. IF not, then it could be not your happiest time of the year.

175 to 185 days after your birthday the sun in the sky makes an OPPOSITION or aspect LIKE a full moon to the sun in your chart. Now is the time to evaluate important relationships and compromise if possible. Often this is a letting go time for people so looking at relationships and re evaluating your ideas and goals is very strong just now. Letting go of ideas is more what I advise now than people. But getting out and talking with people and learning about yourself as you learn about others is great during this time. Take care during this time not to get too locked into POWER STRUGGLES …do it if you have to but do not contribute to the clash of swords if it is not something you really need to go to war over.

210 to 215 days after your birthday again we have the Quincunx stage. A bit of less than clear thinking and lower vitality and energy than usual are common during this time. Unappreciation is what I hear more when folks are in this time. NOBODY appreciates me.. take care to examine your goals and Appreciate how far you have come. Slow and steady often wins the race during this time. ADJUSTMENT is the name of this time.

225 to 230 days after your birthday the sun is again Sesquiquadrate your natal sun. Showing off and dramatizing things is possible. And some of us have even resorted to a bit of melodrama to get our way. This is a time when you may wonder what is going on within you but it is a stage where you have worked hard and want others to realize it. AND usually they do not. Self confidence building comes from looking inwards and congratulating yourself on HOW far you have come and this will smooth your path and help you with those others who just do not see how WONDERFUL you are.

238 to 245 days after your birthday we have the sun TRINING your natal sun again. Energy is better, looking for fun? If so, you will find it. Hobbies, creativity, romance, marriage, satisfaction is possible. ENJOY YOURSELF.

268 to 275 days after your birthday we have the 2nd square from the sun in the sky to your birth chart sun. Here often is the problems with kids, and again sympathy seems hard to find. Putting aside your own tasks seems more necessary in order to take care of others. Now as you get closer to your birthday you are looking at what is NOT completed and realizing you have to speed up to get it done and there are those others Dragging you backwards, or are they?

298 to 303 days after your birthday the sun in the sky again Sextiles your sun in your birth chart. Trips, pleasure, goals, and more can come more easily now. Opportunities come during this time if you will be open to taking advantage of them.

314 to 319 days after your birthday the transiting sun makes a second semi square to your birth chart sun. Overindulgence, and going to extremes is possible during this time. You are now more conscious of a new feeling, a sense that something is coming and that you are entering a new phase. Getting ready to start a new year and if you re read the advice given for the first semi square ….SLOW AND STEADY wins the race now. NO PUSHING and shoving.

328 to 335 days after your birthday the sun is again semi sextile your natal sun. Minor communication problems often happen during this time. Doing things which MUST be done but do not thrill us are often a part of this time. DO your projects now and get them over with. Completion of things seems necessary for you to begin your new birthday year happy. So, work a bit harder now and see how much happier you are in a few days when you again have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY:

OF course this is aspects JUST to your sun. There are lots of other things and with so many planets in the sky demanding we change, and with a new age, this like all things written in generality is only a framework to show you what NATURE intends. IT is not always true in Everyone’s case, but these aspects are what is happening to your SUN sign in your chart.
