Use Sapphires and Aquamarine to keep you on your path this month. For those of you who need grounding and centering, how about picking up some black tourmaline, jet, or obsidian? These will center you into manifesting and completing goals The Colors for September are Gray and Navy blue and until the 22nd of this month, which will be the Fall Equinox we are officially still in the SOUTH or the time of summer and growth is all around us. But can’t you feel the resistances to some of your plans, projects and visions?
This is 7 planets in retrograde or backwards motion asks us to reconsider and use the courage and the strength of our totem during this season.
The animal totems right now are the Coyote and the Brown Bear, giving us both cunning and strength and courage. On the 22nd with the Autumnal Equinox we enter the time of the West and fall, and then the Raven (messenger) arrives along with the Grizzly bear so we can more easily search out hidden things and have the courage to confront and overcome obstacles.
We sill have the sun in Practical Virgo (keywords I analyze) this month until the 22nd when we have the AUTUMNAL EQUINOX and the sun enters the air sign of Libra (keyword I balance) . Expect relationships to be filled with lessons this month as Mercury moves retrograde in the Relationship sign of Libra on the 6th of September through September 29th when Mercury moves forward in Virgo. When a planet representing ideas, and communications begins backwards in one sign and then moves to another expect a very different energy to happen for us on or about the 20th when Mercury slips into Virgo.
The sign of Libra is about balance but with our ears and lives still ringing with the changes in the sky, 7 planets retrograde and a strong sense that the world is changing but we are not sure which way it is changing balance may not be easy to find. Instead how about getting your sea legs perfected and seeing what fun you can have in the shifting energies around you?
Answers this month could be in short supply while connections to inner knowing and using the Faith, (Jupiter retrograde) Heal (Chiron retrograde) and Dream new visions (Neptune Retrograde) magic works for us all..
When planets (the big ones at least) begin to move forward (Pluto , transformation on September 11th) we feel the urge to get going, do something, anything and some rough aspects this month may have you looking outwards for your answers rather than inwards where the answers truly are there for us all. Next month more forward motion facilitates more movement.
Saturn (the planet of discipline, duty and obligation) in Virgo is working hard to help you shift and change with Uranus the planet of change in the sign of Pisces. These planets have opposed each other for 1 year and we have another year to go. At the ½ way point it does seem we have done lots of the changes already haven’t we? NOW the lesson during this time is to dream your own future, to reach towards what you want and to really try and LET GO OF CONTROL of others and sometimes even control of our situations in our own lives.
An opposition is a position of balance, as one planet alone cannot seem to work well without the other. Duty and hard work and the facts (Saturn in Virgo) opposing Change, sudden insights, brilliance and lightening bolts of perceptions as the whole world changes.….
Wow what a recipe for Success this one is for us all and for politics and the world out there, as well as the world within us.
The urge towards Perfection, facts, details and answers is strong this month with lots of energy in Virgo and? Well, expectations are the road to many things but our expectations are rarely met in the way we would have thought. So, how about working towards being open To this brilliance and maybe figure there is a plan better than our own plans?
The Full Harvest moon September 4th brings these issues of wanting all the answers forwards with more than a little illusion added to the details.. Let go over the next 2 weeks and see what miracles appear for you. This full moon has the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Dreamy Pisces, Look for facts to be A bit confused over the next 2 weeks. But confusion and NOT knowing are often the key to Really being open to something new. Our theme for the last 2 years has been to do something you have never done before to have something you have never had before and this energy increases this month.
The dark of the moon magical days this month are the 16th, 17th until the New moon on the 18th at 11:44am PDT There are lots of practical Virgo energy on those days so these are perfect times to sit down and begin to create your next step, or the plans for your next step. Dark of the moon is magic wish time but not a good time for beginning new projects. If you can wait until..
The New moon on The 18th to begin creating new businesses and plans you are going to be much happier with outcome.. New moons are seed planting times and we have some real shifts happening this month and things will pick up after this date.
Rosh Hashanah in 2009 will start on Saturday, the 19th of September and will continue for 2 days until Sunday, the 20th of September. Note that in the Jewish calendar, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Rosh Hashanah on the sunset of Friday, the 18th of September.
I always honor Rosh Hashanah as another New Year but unlike our popular belief of a NEW beginning type of New Year here in the United States. I use this Jewish New year in the way it has been used from ancient times as a time for introspection. It is for me a time of looking back at the past year and planning the changes I intend to make in the new year.
To me this time each year is my Purge the old and reconnect to source and revise and repair whatever needs changing in my life so Mercury retrograde during this time is indeed perfect for this. This time to me truly is a time of Remembrance …remembering what to be grateful for, remembering those who have gone before me and those in my life who assist me on my path.
Mercury retrograde for me is reconnect, repair, replan, review, reappraise, and anything with a RE does great and that fits perfectly with Rosh Hashanah. Mercury retrograde is not the time for a marriage unless it is Remarriage, or to begin a new business or sign a contract for the first time. I believe that we get little enough time to connect to our inner sense of knowing and usually use this time for centering into myself and my life path and my mission on this planet.
In 2009 Yom Kippur (Jewish Day of Atonement) begins at sundown on Sunday September 27 and ends at nightfall on Monday September 28. Yom Kippur atones only for sins between man and God, not for sins against another person. To atone for sins against another person, you must first seek reconciliation with that person, righting the wrongs you committed against them if possible. That must all be done before Yom Kippur.
I kind of try and celebrate Yom Kippur at the end of each month, look back on who I may have offended and attempt to make amends, and try to do it daily truly. But this September the energy right before Mercury goes direct seems to have some added Pop as we are asked to (RECONSIDER with mercury rx in Libra our relationships with others and in Virgo, are we being too hard, and too detail orientated and maybe losing sign of the REAL BIG PICTURE?).
